Welcome to the GeoAccess Training Academy. The site is in its early stages and will be expanded upon in the coming months to provide learning resources, interactive on-line training and assessment hosted in one easy to access location.

Early in September 2022, Network Rail replaced Standard NR/SP/CTM/017 Competence & Training in Civil Engineering with NR/L2/CIV/1000 Competence Management for Buildings and Civils Infrastructure and NR/L2/CIV/1000/04 Competence Management for Earthworks. At the same time Standard NR/L3/CIV/065, Issue 7, Examination of Earthworks Manual was released and NR/GN/CIV/065, Issue 2, Examination of Earthworks Guidance Manual.

To comply with the CIV1000 standards, you are required to undertake as assessment to ensure you are competent to hold the new Level 3 competency, which is replacing the former EWE3 competency. The assessment is 30 questions based on CIV1000, CIV1000/04 and CIV065. The standards and guidance manual are hosted within the Academy, and it is recommended you read through and familiarise yourself with each before taking the assessment. The assessment will be a mix of multiple-choice and single-word answers with handy tips available for any questions that you may need a little guidance before answering.
